 Aluminum Paint

Product description and uses

It is a special aluminium paint which, when painted on metal, will withstand temperatures of up to 3000C. When newly painted, the dry pyrofix paint film tends to powder slightly due to its special composition, but once the surface has been heated to a temperature of at least 2000C this effect will disappear. It does not need primer and can be brushed or sprayed directly on to clean, dry metal surface. Before use, the paint should be stirred thoroughly, replace the lid of the container tightly when not in use.

  • Surface preparation: Surfaces to be painted must be clean, dry and free from grease, oil and rust. Rust and mill scale must be removed by scraping and wire brushing. For optimum results sandblasting is recommended.
  • Finish: Metallic luster.
  • Application: By brush or spray.
  • Thinning and mixing: Thinned with mineral turpentine.
  • Equipment cleaning: Equipment should be cleaned immediately after use with white spirit.
  • Drying time: 1-2 hours at 200C. Color range Metallic grey with luster.
  • Spreading capacity: 20-25m2 per litre at 15 microns.
  • Pack sizes: 1 litres, 4 litres.

 2 Pack Epoxy

Product description and uses

It is a two component epoxy based enamel, highly resistant to chemical attack, with tremendous adhesion and resistance to both abrasion and impact. It is easy to apply and gives a waterproof film.

  • Surface preparation: Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from oil, rust and paint. Aluminium sheet must be treated with a solution containing 1% phosphoric acid and then cleaned with water. Priming For metal, a coat of epoxy primer mixed with hardener should be applied. Primer should not be sanded due to lead content. For wood and concrete, the first coat should be thinned with 10% epoxy thinner. Apply 2-3 heavy coats of epoxy enamel mixed with hardener, allowing 24 hours drying time between all coats. Finish Gloss.
  • Application: By brush or spray both epoxy primer and enamel should be mixed with hardener in the ratio of 2 parts primer or enamel to 1 part hardener by volume. Epoxy clear should be mixed with hardener in the ratio of 3 parts clear to 2 parts hardener by volume.
  • Thinning and mixing: Should be thinned with epoxy thinner.
  • Equipment cleaning: Epoxy thinner.
  • Drying time: Dust dry in 2 hours and completely dry in 24 hour.
  • Maximum resistance is achieved after three days.
