High Opacity Undercoat

Product description

An alkyd based product formulated to provide a flexible non-absorbent base for super gloss and other gloss finishes. Uses It Has excellent hiding power used to fill minor cracks and other blemishes.

  • Uses: Suitable for exterior and interior use and can be applied on metal, wood plaster etc. Excellent inter-coat adhesion between primer and topcoat.
  • Surface preparation: Ensures surface is clean and dry. 1 coat of high opacity undercoat over the appropriate primer. 16 hours to dry before over coating.
  • Finish: Matt.
  • Application: By brush, spray gun or roller.
  • Thinning and mixing: White spirit and stir well before use.
  • Equipment cleaning: White spirit. Drying time Overcoat in 16 hours.
  • Color range: White.
  • Spreading capacity: 9-13m2 at 40 microns DFT.
  • Pack sizes: 1 litre, 4 litres and 20 litres. 


Undercoat Emulsion

Product description

A copolymer based emulsion paint, it gives maximum protection on interior and exterior surfaces and produces a high opacity smooth matt finish without leaving brush marks.

  • Uses: Can be used on all new and previously painted surfaces e.g. plaster, concrete, building boards etc.
  • Surface preparation: New plaster or concrete All nibs, loose materials and efflorescence should be removed, small cracks are filled and smoothed down to ensure the surface is clean and dry For priming apply 1 coat of matt emulsion thinned with water to normal working consistency. 2-3 coats of matt emulsion thinned with water to normal working consistency. Previously white washed or distempered walls Old coatings of white wash or distemper should be removed by scrapping or wire brush and anything that remains should be bound using 2 coats of clear seal or penetrating primer and left to dry for 4 and 16 hours respectively, then apply 2-3 coats of matt emulsion. Whereas previously painted walls should be sanded down and 2 coats of matt emulsion applied. Of 16 hours between application of coats.
  • Finish: Matt.
  • Application: By brush, spray gun or roller.
  • Thinning and mixing: Thin with tap water to the right consistency.
  • Equipment cleaning: Equipment should be cleaned immediately after use with water.
  • Drying time: Recoatable after 4 hours.
  • Color range: A wide range of colors.
  • Spreading capacity: 11-14m2 per litre at 40 microns DFT.
  • Pack sizes: 1 litre, 4 litres and 20 litres
